Saturday Outing With
The Girls

 

 

We invited the older girls for a Saturday afternoon outing which included lunch, activities at the house, and an ice cream on the way back to the orphanage.

 

 

 

We picked the girls up at the orphanage and walked back through Shell to our humble little house near the hospital. The girls helped prepare a nice Taco lunch - cooking the meat and chopping the tomatoes and lettuce - and then setting the table for us. They have very few opportunities for such simple activities as these and really enjoyed themselves.

 

After lunch we played on the swing, made no-bake cookies for dessert, did some art projects and watched a movie. Walking home later we stopped for an ice cream and enjoyed some laughs together on the way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Despite the seemingly difficult circumstances for each one of these precious girls, they each easily laugh and joke around.
